
The church is led by a team of three elders; Simon, Chris and Hugh. They are supported by a team of church members who help take responsibility for a range of different activities and ministries. However, all church members are encouraged to get fully involved and use their many and varied talents.
From September 2009 the church will have a children's worker, Becky, on placment from South West Youth Ministries and will be supporting Sam as he begins leadership training.
Simon and his wife, Caroline, have been with the church since its formation in 1985. They have three children and two grandchildren. Simon is a qualified teacher of Science, but now works advising schools across the South West. Simon particularly enjoys teaching from the Bible, showing how it applies to everyday life in the 21st Century.
Chris and Gwyn have been members of the Church for over twenty years. They have two children and five grandchildren. Chris is a qualified accountant, but took three years out from work to study at Trinity College, Bristol and Spurgeon's College, London, to obtain a degree in Theology. Chris is supported by the church to undertake a pastoral and teaching role.
Hugh and Rosemary have four children and eleven grandchildren. Hugh has been a preacher, teacher and spiritual adviser for over half a century! He has helped pioneer several new churches throughout the UK, headed up a Bible School and led established churches in the North of England before joining Woodspring Church in 1997.
